Guyton – Karen Higgs Hunt, 71, passed away May 22, 2023 at her residence.

The Chatham County native retired from Calvary Baptist Church Daycare after 25 years.  She enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping, and her animals.  Her favorite things to do were fish fries, oyster roasts, and cookouts with her family.  She loved to dance and spend the days by the pool with the grandbabies.  Her famous macaroni and cheese and fried chicken will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Buster and Mary Helen Higgs; her husband, Randy Hunt; her siblings, Jimmy Elliott, David Higgs, and Earlene Bellamy.

Survivors include her daughters, Tonya Landon (Terry), Amy Weaver (Stephen), and Betty Conway (Russell); grandchildren, Emily Davis (Andrew), Alyssa Boatright (Bubba), and Cody Landon (Casey); great-grandchildren, Hunter Boatright, Alyssa Alvarado, Kenleigh Alvarado, Bubba Boatright, Jr., C.J. Landon, Hayes Davis, Tripp Conway, Harper Landon, Levi Davis, Parker Boatright, and Emerie Landon; siblings, Wanda Ryals and Joe Greenwood; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. To 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2023 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
