Savannah-Ms. Karen E. Ruckman, 54, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Hospice
Savannah.
Ms. Ruckman was born in Chatham County. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Paris.
She was a librarian in St. Joseph, Missouri for thirteen years and she had formerly ran the
Literacy Council in Fairhope, Alabama.
Survivors include her daughter, Amanda Ruckman of St. Joseph, MO; parents, John &
Parilee Ruckman of Rincon; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary & Susan Ruckman of
Savannah, MO and David & Tammie Ruckman of Kansas City, MO; maternal
grandmother, Mozelle Berne of Rincon and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and
cousins.
Memorial Service-11 a.m. on Thursday at Bloomingdale Alliance Church located at 501
West Highway 80.
