Port Wentworth – Karen L. Stevens, 58, passed away after a short illness on Sunday May 4, 2025 at 5 a.m. at St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital.

She was born to the late George W. Stevens and her surviving mother, Carolyn Stevens.

She loved to go on family vacations with her family, was a GA Bulldog fan, Atlanta Braves fan, and loved to sing.

She is survived by her mother, brother, John "Buddy" Stevens, his wife, Denise Stevens; niece, Lexi Stevens; nephew, Nick Stevens; great-nephew, Caden Sexton; her boyfriend of 10 years, Robert Byrd; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A special thanks to St. Joseph's/Candler P.C.U. unit for the care the nurses gave her.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
