Kathryn Sellers Walton, age 86, of Pooler passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at The Oaks at Pooler.

Mrs. Walton was born September 22, 1934 in Bacon County to the late Ernest Willie Sellers and the late Olya Mae Poole Sellers.  She was a member of South Newington Baptist Church and was a School Nurse at Chatham County Board of Education.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Walton was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lee Walton, a brother, Emory Sellers and son, Daniel Lee Walton.

Survivors include her sons, David Walton & the late Lydia L. of Springfield, Ernie Walton & wife, Kathy of Watkinsville, Alvin Walton & wife, Susan of Guyton and Donald Walton & wife, Jeanne of Pace, FL; a daughter in law, Dawn Walton of Guyton; sister, Joyce Reynolds of Marietta; sister-in-law, Shirley Sellers of Baxley.  Nineteen grandchildren & seven great grandchildren also survive.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Steve McCoy officiating. (The funeral service will also be live streamed via the Facebook page of Swain Funeral Home.)

Interment will follow in Appling Memorial Gardens.

Active Pallbearers will be Adam Walton, Scott Walton, Stephen Walton, Ray Walton, Nicholas Walton, Theodore Walton, Christian Walton and Cody Walton.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, 901 W Hwy 80, West Chatham Chapel, Pooler & Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. until funeral hour at Swain Funeral Home.
