Guyton – Kathy S. Green-Vogeley left this life due to a brief illness on Saturday, August 13, 2022.

She was born August 22, 1951 in Rantoul, Illinois, Chanute A.F.B.  She was the daughter of George (Dick) Green and Shirley Green-Warner-Magnie, both who preceded her in death.

She attended Rantoul High School, Rantoul, IL, El Centro College, Dallas, TX, Belleville Area College, Granite City, IL, and Parkland College, Champaign, IL.

She was a licensed Foster Parent in the state of Illinois for 9 years.  She fostered five different children and adopted one.

She was an avid horsewoman and motorcyclist.  She was the Legislative Director for ABATE District 11 in Georgia.  She was the Administrator for the Raymond P. Henry Down Biker Fund for four years.  She was then the CEO, Founder and CFO when it became the Georgia Down Biker Fund Inc.  She was a member of the AQHA, APHC, NBHA, the Monticello Chamber of Commerce, The St. Louis Traffic Club, the Patriot Guard Riders and Sons of Liberty Riders.  She was the Secretary-Treasurer and President of the Tri-County Women's pool league in Indiana and was a Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Supporter.

Kathy is survived by her husband Rick Vogeley, two daughters, Shari Kruse (Keith) and Celine Green-Pfund (Brian) and grandchildren Hunter Kruse, Megan Farmer, Nicole Kaleta (Mike) and Ryan Natiello (Yesi), brothers Jerry Green (Lorna) of Phoenix, AZ and Terry Green (Kathy) of Homasassa Springs, FL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial are requested to any of the following organizations: The Georgia Down Biker Fund Inc., Operation New Hope, or the Savannah Tiny House Project.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2022 at the funeral home chapel.
