Katy Shipes Nesmith
Springfield-Katy Shipes Nesmith, 73, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 at Effingham Hospital.
The Effingham County native retired from Derst Baking Company and Wal-Mart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie G. Shipes and Annie Viola Altman; and husband, Charles Leroy Nesmith.
Survivors include her children, Matt Hall of Springfield, Steve Hall of Blue Springs, Nancy Hall Friese of Sylvania, and Paul Hall of Rincon; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Ethel Williams of Florida.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Springfield Cemetery.
