Rincon/Sylvania – Kenneth T. McCall, Sr., 81, passed away March 8, 2023 at Effingham Hospital.

The Chatham County native served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a retired Contractor/Carpenter.  He was a longtime race car driver at Oglethorpe Speedway.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Elmina R. McCall; brother, Ben Anthony McCall; step-son, Michael Truitt.

Survivors include his wife, Linda T. McCall; sister, Rebecca McCall Lawdis; son, Kenneth T. McCall, Jr.; step-daughter, Cindy B. McCall; step-sons, Joshua Truitt and Ryan Truitt; and a number of grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Union Baptist Church.

Interment will follow in North Newington Baptist Church Cemetery.
