Kenneth Jerry "Pop" Saxon, Sr.

Ellabell-Kenneth Jerry "Pop" Saxon, Sr., 62, died on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at home.

The Chatham County native was a charter member of Faith Harvest Church of God. He was the owner/operator of K.J. Saxon, Inc. He had served on the North Bryan County Fire Department, where he was a former chief and a first responder.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Saxon of Ellabell; daughters, Debbie (Darren) Hollingsworth of Black Creek, and Donna (Gary) Romano of Ellabell; sons, Bo (Paula) Saxon of Guyton, and Kevin (Janet) Saxon of Guyton; brothers, Larry B. Saxon, Sr. of Guyton, and Earl Saxon of Chatham County; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several sisters-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the funeral home.

Funeral: 2:30 p.m. Sunday April 1, 2007 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Powers Baptist Church Cemetery
