Kevin James Saxon, Sr., 53, of Guyton, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

Kevin was born in Savannah but lived in Effingham County all of his life.  He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Jerry Saxon, Sr.  He was the owner/operator of Kevin Saxon Hauling.  He enjoyed bass fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his children, Kevin James Saxon, Jr., Kelly Nixon (Perry), and Kyle Saxon (Melissa); grandchildren, Kagen, Falynn, Phoenix, Kennedy, Kohen, Kamden, and Kavin; mother, Jean Saxon; sisters, Debbie Hollingsworth (Darren), and Donna Romano (Gary); brother, Bo Saxon (Paula), as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

The memorial service to honor Kevin's life will be at 3:30 on Sunday, July 25 ^th in the chapel of the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 West Highway 80 in Pooler.  The family will receive friends from 3 until 3:25 p.m. and after the service.
