Kimberly Leaphart, 57, of Rincon, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at her home after a long illness.

Kim is preceded in death by her parents, John and Carolyn Clifton, her mother Georgeanne Burnsed, and her beloved dog, Hero.

Kim is survived by her husband of nearly thirty-six years, Harmon, and a brother, Richard Clifton (Lynn), several nieces and great-nieces.

Kim had a life plagued by illness, juvenile diabetes, but persevered and met her challenges with a strong-will.  She was a proud member of Tompkins High School ('84), and kept many friendships from her days as a Wolverine.  She lived most of her adult life in Ellabell, Georgia and enjoyed the country lifestyle.  We remember Kim as a kind and generous person, someone who loved her family deeply.

The visitation will be on Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home in Pooler, Georgia.  The funeral to honor Kim's life will follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Guyton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that remembrances be sent to the American Diabetes Association.  We also ask that maybe we take a hint from Kim and be kind and generous to one another.
