Kristy Lynn Hicks Kerby, 48, of Port Wentworth, Georgia, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021 at her home.

Kristy was born in Jesup, Georgia and was preceded in death by her father, David H. Hicks.  She had been a paraprofessional at Bloomingdale Elementary School and was a member of the Bloomingdale First Baptist Church.  She enjoyed all things summer-the beach, flip flops, the sun, and tanning.  She also enjoyed decorating, shopping, and life.  She will be remembered for being generous and loving her family.

Survivors include her son, Parker K. Kerby; mother, Betty Culver Hicks; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Sherri Hicks, Rob and Carie Hicks; nieces and nephews, Zachary Hicks, Lamanda Wilder, Olivia Hicks, Callie Babcock, and Miya Paez, as well as a number of cousins, aunts and uncles.

The graveside funeral and burial will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Newton Cemetery located on Cemetery Road in Pooler.

Remembrances may be given to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
