Lajuan Saturday Boyd, 78, died on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, after a short illness.

Lajuan was born in Savannah, Georgia to the late James and Aline Saturday on June 18, 1946.  In addition to her parents, Lajuan was preceded in death by her best friend and husband, Ted M. Boyd, her oldest son, Samuel "Sonny" Boyd, and a grandson, Zachary Boyd.

She is survived by two sons, Tony Boyd (Kelly) and Teddy Boyd (Buffi), a daughter, Tisha Kreyenbuhl (Jamie), a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Boyd, seven grandchildren, Brad Boyd (Kate), Taylor Foster (Ben), Kyle Boyd, Jacob Boyd (Jen), Ashton Boyd, Zoe Kreyenbuhl and Zan Kreyenbuhl, four great-grandchildren, Emma Boyd, Rorie Foster, Vander Boyd and Mary Kate Foster, a sister, Joan Youngblood (John), a brother, Pete Saturday (Karen), and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lajuan graduated from Groves High School in Garden City, Georgia in 1964.  She was a homemaker during most of her adult life, raising her children, many grandchildren, and other members of her family.  Lajuan loved cooking, sports, and spending time with her family and friends.  For many years, she was heavily involved with the Garden City Recreation Department, serving alongside her husband in many capacities.  She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Garden City for many years.

A memorial service will be held for Lajuan in the Woodlawn Baptist Church sanctuary on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 3:00 p.m.  The family will receive visitors preceding the service beginning at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will be held at Hillcrest Abbey West in Savannah following the memorial service.
