Obituary

Alamo/Savannah-Mr. Lamar V. Clements, 94, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Effingham Extended Care Facility.
Mr. Clements was born in Alamo to the late Monroe & Mattie Clements. He was also preceded in death by his wives, Betty Clements, Francis Canafe Clements, and Marie Collins Clements, and two brothers, Oscar and Johnny Clements. He was a member of Springhill United Methodist Church in Wheeler County. He retired from Union Camp and was known for widling one of the first turkey calls. He loved wood working, making wood puzzles, and fishing.
Survivors include his daughters, Frances (Otis Dixon) Flournoy, and Sharon (Bill) Durrell; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
The Celebration of Life Service will be on Friday at 12 noon at the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum located at 315 Greenwich Road in Savannah.
