Lanell Tretiak Terry

Lanell Tretiak Terry, 80, of Guyton, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Lanell was born June 9, 1945, and was raised in Gum Branch, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ellen and John Tretiak, her sister, Patricia Nesmith, and her beloved husband, Richard Terry.

Lanell worked for over thirty years for Great Dane Trailers in Savannah, Georgia. She was an active member of Garden City First Baptist Church, as well as Rincon First Baptist Church. She enjoyed her Sunday School classes and their outings and considered her classmates her closest friends. Since moving to Effingham County, Lanell enjoyed volunteering her time at Manna House Ministries in Rincon, Georgia.

Lanell was immensely proud of her family lineage and maintained all genealogy records for her family. She hosted the "Todd" reunion every summer in Gum Branch.

She is survived in death by her brother, Stan (Ann) Tretiak, her two sons, Mark (Angie) and Steven (Shereen) Terry, and four grandchildren, Jessica, Rebecca, Todd (Mallory), and Leo Terry, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is planned for Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 11:00 am in the chapel at Strickland's Funeral Home in Rincon, Georgia with visitation an hour prior to service. A private burial will immediately follow at Hillcrest Abbey West in Savannah, Georgia.
