  • Larry Stephen Kelly January 30, 1953 – October 15, 2026

  • Larry Stephen Kelly, 73, of Guyton, GA passed away peacefully at his home on October 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.  Born on January 30, 1953, Larry lived a life defined by hard work, dedication, and devotion to those he loved most. For 46 years, he worked with Kelly Oil Company contracted to Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was acting president for 12 years. Through countless miles and long hours on the road, Larry faithfully provided for his family and earned the respect of all who knew him. While Larry worked hard, he loved even harder.  On June 13th, 1970, he married his beloved wife of 56 years, Gail Kelly. Larry was a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished Papa. His family was the center of his world, and he found his greatest joy in spending time with them, sharing stories, laughter, and creating lasting memories. Known for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, Larry always had a joke ready and could keep his family in stitches with his stories and playful teasing. His laughter was contagious, and his ability to bring smiles to those around him was one of the many gifts he shared throughout his life.  His kindness, wisdom, and steady presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those fortunate enough to know and love him.  Larry's legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the lives he touched, and the love he shared so freely. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will remain in the hearts of his family and friends for generations to come.  He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas William Kelly, Jr., his mother Daisy Loilette Simmers, and sisters Judy Ann Kelly and Terry Loilette Kelly. He is survived by his wife Gail Kelly, his daughters Melissa Mast (Kerry), Stephanie Kelly (Lee), Tricia Reddick (Shawn). His grandchildren Keri Lyn Fetzer (Chad), Stephen Mast (Madison), Alyssa Sanders (Dylan), Ayden Reddick, and Grayson Reddick. His bonus grandchildren Maddox Riner (Morgan) and Olivia Riner. His great grandchildren Noah Fetzer, Emily Fetzer, Bailey Fetzer, Owen Fetzer, and Elizabeth Fetzer. His sister-in-law Ann Swindell and niece Angel Kennedy. His step-father of 60 years, Harvey Simmers. His brother Coy Kelly (Lorraine) and his sisters Erna Blackburn (Kenny) and Lois Khalafalla (Khaled).Larry's life was a testament to love, laughter, and loyalty. His family takes comfort in knowing that while he may no longer be with them, his spirit, his stories, and his laughter will remain forever in their hearts. "The road may have ended, but the love, laughter, and memories Larry leaves behind will travel with us always."  Forever loved, forever missed, forever remembered.
