Larry C. Strickland
Ellabell- Larry C. Strickland, 77, died Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Hospice Savannah.
The Claxton native was a member of Daisy United Methodist Church and the Bulloch Bass Club. Larry was a retired sheet metal worker, had served in the 165th Georgia Air National Guard, sang in a Barbershop Quartet, and was a stock car driver. He loved NASCAR, always pulling for a Ford to win.
Survivors include his children, Marie Strickland, Katherine Strickland Rigdon (Mark), D'Kay Lillie Alleman, and Lamar Carter Davies (Xin); two sisters, Judy Smith (Don) and Jennie Strickland; grandchildren, Joseph Pilz, Zachary Pilz, Jacob Pilz, Daniel Rigdon, Elizabeth Rigdon, Rebecca Rigdon, Michael Rigdon, Lillie Rigdon, Bryce Alleman, Drake Davies, and Leo Davies; a great-grandson, Hunter Rigdon; and two nieces and a nephew.
Visitation: 4-6 pm Sunday, August 20, 2017 in the funeral home.
Funeral: 10 am Monday, August 21, 2017 at Daisy United Methodist Church.
Interment: Brewton Cemetery
