Joyce "LaTrelle" Sharp Rogers

Rincon- Joyce "LaTrelle" Sharp Rogers, 63, entered into eternal rest with her Heavenly Father on July 27, 2011 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Port Wentworth, GA, she was the daughter of the late Presley Eugene Sharp and the late Mary Lee Youngblood Sharp. She was a member of Goshen Road Baptist Church for 22 years. She retired from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2008 after 14 years of service, being named "Employee of the Year" in 2000.

LaTrelle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted her life fully to the Lord and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd C. Rogers; mother, Mary Lee Youngblood Sharp; father, Presley Eugene Sharp; brother, Larry Gene Sharp of Haymarket, Virginia.

She is survived by her daughter, Tami R. Williams (Jody) of Rincon; her son, Barry D. Rogers (Amber) of Rincon; a sister, Faye S. Patrick (Ron) of Savannah; a brother, Michael A. Sharp (Susan) of Guyton; two grandchildren, Katelyn R. Williams and Jacob K. Rogers, both who loved her dearly; her step-mother, Barbara Sharp of Pooler; and several nieces and nephews.

LaTrelle's favorite pastime was spending time with her grandkids, cooking, and dedicating her life fully to the Lord. She was a beautiful woman inside and out and will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation: 6 -8 pm Friday, July 29, 2011 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 11 am Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Goshen Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Miles and the Rev. Robert Sharp officiating.

Burial: Hillcrest West Cemetery
