Laurel Bond of Pooler, GA passed away September 30, 2023.

She was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on December 25, 1954, where she spent most of her childhood and most of her adult life in the Savannah area. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Shaeffer; her mother, Phyllis Shaeffer; her two brothers, Michael and Eugene Shaeffer; and her nephew, Sean Shaeffer.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Bond of Pooler, GA; her daughter, Catherine Wells (James) of Savannah, GA; her son, Michael Pontbriand (Jennifer) of Pooler, GA; her brothers, Paul Shaeffer (Shelly) of Jacksonville, FL, Daniel Shaeffer (Wendy) of Savannah, GA; her grandchildren, Jerrith Fisher of Savannah, GA, Kaitlyn Ragsdale (Justin) of Savannah, GA, Jaden Fisher of Savannah, GA; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
