Rincon – Laurie Clary Beatty, 85, passed away December 28, 2022 at Effingham Hospital.

The Effingham County native was a retired World Book Encyclopedia sales manager. She was a lifelong Methodist, having served at Rincon United Methodist Church on the building committee for the Family Life Center and currently as a member of Encounter United Methodist Church. She also served on the HOA at Towne Park.

Survivors include her daughters, Karen Z. Brindley (Jim), and Tina Z. Keener; grandchildren, Kyle Brindley, Drew Brindley, Casey Brindley, Ty Keener, and Kelsey Keener; a great-grandson, James Robert Brindley; a sister, Frances Josey; a brother, Ronald Clary (Virginia); and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 2-3 pm Friday, December 30, 2022 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 3 pm Friday, December 30, 2022 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Goshen United Methodist Church.

Remembrances may be given to Goshen United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
