Mr. Lawrence David Wilson "Buckwheat", 64, of Guyton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Effingham Hospital.

He was born in Savannah, Georgia and was preceded in death by his parents, Alvonso Junior McElveen "Mac" and Dora Thelma Morton McElveen and his brother, George Steven Wilson.  He served his country in the National Guard and retired from CB Sand Company.  He loved riding his Harley Davidson, old-school cowboy movies, swords and knives, as well as eating at Carey Hilliards.

Survivors include his children, David Shayne Wilson, Chad Michael Wilson, Cortny Marie Wilson, and Joseph David Wilson; grandchildren, Kaybre Aaylah Wilson, Kobe Shayne Wilson, Cailyn Raine Wilson, Elizabeth Wilson and Olivia Wilson; great-grandson, Draiden Anthony Wilson; sister and brother-in-law, Debra Jean Fail and Rev. Gene Fail, and several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 9:30 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Gene Fail officiating.
