Obituary

Mr. Lawrence W. "Larry" Carter, 75, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at his home.

Larry was born in Ticonderonga, New York and spent most of his life in Bloomingdale.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Carter and Violet Lacoe Carter, as well as a grandson, James Anthony Wayne Turnbow.  He served his country in the United States Navy for four years and retired from Vopak Oil Company.  He was an avid bass fisherman and had a love for all animals.  He will be remembered for being selfless, patient, and for loving his wife and family.  He will be missed.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Joan Carter; daughters, Connie Laverne Redman, Lacy Dennice Krenn (Lonnie), Patricia Ann Lyons, and Jessica Kersey (Russell); grandchildren, Lilly Kersey, Kristen Michelle Dionne, Caryn Dennice Dionne, Brandon Lee Turnbow, and Preston Lee Turnbow; great-grandchildren, Gracie Turnbow and Ryder Turnbow; siblings, Donna Carter, Debbie Mondello, Frank Carter, and Lee Carter, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life service for Larry will be on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
