Rincon – Lawrence Rodell Seckinger, 85, passed away April 7, 2022.

The Effingham County native was a lifelong active member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church where he started every service by ringing the bell.  He was active in the church and was a Sunday School teacher.  He retired from C.S.X. Railroad in 1999 after 42 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Lee Seckinger and Laura Dasher Seckinger; and his brother, Linwood L. Seckinger.

Survivors include his niece, Tracy Seckinger Plott; nephew, Stuart (Heidi) Seckinger; great- nieces, Caroline Plott and Isabel Seckinger; great-nephews, Robert Plott, Seth Seckinger, and Bradley Speller; and a number of cousins.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2022 at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. in the chapel.

Interment will follow in Jerusalem Lutheran Church Cemetery.
