Rincon- Perry Lee Shipes, 53, died Thursday September 26, 2013 at his residence.
The Effingham County native was an avid sportsman. He had worked at Gulfstream for the past 27 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles N. Shipes.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara L. Shipes; brothers, Eddie Shipes (Earlette) and Andy Shipes (Vicky Poole); an uncle, J.T. Shipes; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 2-3 pm Sunday, September 29, 2013 in the funeral home.
Funeral: 3 pm Sunday, September 29, 2013 in the funeral home chapel.
Interment: Private
