Obituary

Tahoka, TX-Mrs. Lema Scott Conatser, 68, 30-plus-year cancer survivor, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014 at her home in Pooler.

She was born in Lubbock, TX to the late Joseph Lemuel Scott and Mary Jane Godwin Scott of Tahoka, TX. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mission High School teacher and Church of Christ Minister, Charlie Timothy Conatser. She was a retired teacher from Kenneth White Junior High School in Mission, TX. Lema was a long-time member of North Mission Church of Christ. She was an avid reader, and loved the outdoors, gardening and birding.

Survivors include her children, Lori Jane Jackson, Charlci Dawn Ahrens and Robert Timothy Conatser; six grandchildren; sister, Rose Huskey; brothers, John, Jack and Frederick Scott as well as one niece.

The memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the North Mission Church of Christ located at 1410 E. Mile 3 Road in Mission, TX.

The graveside funeral and burial will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Nevils Memorial Cemetery located on Cemetery Road in Tahoka, TX.
