Mr. Lemuel Archie Graham (sometimes known as Sleepy), 89, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Hospice Savannah after a long battle with cancer.

Lemuel was born in Uvalda, Georgia to the late Fate and Zenobia Graham.  Lemuel served over 30 years in the Air National Guard and retired as an E8 Sergeant.  He was also a retired volunteer fire fighter.  Lemuel was a member of the Richard T. Turner Masonic Lodge, 116 Coastal Daylight, 750 and Richard T. Turner 332 OES for over 40 years.  He was also a member of the Scottish Rite.  Lemuel was a die hard Atlanta Braves fan and loved the GA Bulldogs.  He loved his family, Jesus, his church, baking cakes, and shooting pool.

Lemuel was preceded in death by the love of his life, and wife of 43 years, Margie Graham; parents, Fate and Zenobia Graham; daughter, Donna Stille; brother, Wallace Graham, and sister-in-law, Jennie Graham.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Tonia and Vincent Morris; son, Ray Kniphfer; sister, Lois Conner; brother, Charles "Smoky" Graham; brother-in-law, Leroy Burnsed; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Special friends and church members, Barbara Jenkins, Squire and Diane Futch, Eric Pevey and the rest of his Countryside Baptist Church family.  Special care givers turned family, Wendy Walker and Latacia Johnson.

The visitation will be on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral to honor Lemuel's life will be on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim, Georgia.  Pastor Rick Flowers will officiate.  The pallbearers will be Matthew Morris, Graham Monroe, Preston Monroe, Eric Pevey, Lee Hopkins, Billy Collins, Harvey Hodges, and Jason Stille.
