Rincon- Leslie G. Stodghill, 63, died Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Effingham Extended Care Facility.

The longtime Effingham County resident was a member of First Christian Church of Rincon and had retired from Great Dane Trailers after 29 years of service.  The loving father enjoyed his family and woodworking.

Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth F. Gay; two children, Brandon Stodghill (Summer Hayes) and Melanie Stodghill (Robert Floyd); brothers, Dennis Stodghill (Joyce), Michael Stodghill (Glenda), George Gay, Bobby Gay (Van); sisters, Pamela Allen and Mildred Monroe; grandchildren, Austin Stodghill and Avery Floyd; aunts, Doris Hayes and Dorothy Cooper; uncle, John Fisher; compassionate caregivers, George and Janet Scott; mother of his children, Cheryl Edwards; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to the staff of Effingham Extended Care Facility for their love and care.

Visitation: 9-10 am Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 10 am Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Effingham Memorial Gardens
