Clyo – Lexi Rae Chambers, 18, passed away June 10, 2025.

Born in Savannah, GA on March 15, 2007.   She had a deep love for drawing, writing and painting.  Lexi was a sassy child, full of life.  She found pure happiness in dancing, singing and spending time with her family on the river and boating.  A proud 2025 graduate of Effingham County High School.  Growing up Lexi had many obstacles with mental health.  Her journey was not easy, but she fought bravely each day to overcome.  Mental health is very real, and Lexi's story is a reminder of the importance of compassion, awareness and support.  Lexi was so strong.  "Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you:  He will never leave your nor forsake you."  Deuteronomy 31:6  "This too shall pass."

Lexi is survived by her loving parents, Heather and Travis Smith ; father, Chris Chambers; sisters, Hailey Mallard (Bryce) and Brooklyn Smith; grandmothers, Edwina Herrera, Pamela Spivey, Tina Scott, Janet Fox Smith, and Kathy Chambers; her 2nd mom, Jana Smith;  her best friend, Brooke Luffman; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Lexi's life, though brief, was filled with love, resilience, and beauty.  She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2025 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers donations may be given to help the family with funeral expenses.
