Linda Lee Deloach Snyder
Springfield – Linda Lee Deloach Snyder, 73, went to be with The Lord on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at GA Regents Hospital in Augusta.
The Effingham County native was a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield, was a Sunday School Teacher, taught a prison bible study and the AA group in the prison. She started the first brown bag for seniors in the county and organized and worked in the Our Daily Bread Food Pantry. She received the Jefferson Award – American Institute for Public Service, Book of Golden Deeds – National Exchange Club, GAVA Individual Leadership Award, and the Effingham County Prison – Employee of the Quarter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Oregon Deloach and Marian Linder Deloach; and her daughter, Susan Leigh Snyder.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Jack D. Snyder, Sr.; sons, Jack D. Snyder, Jr. (Melissa), Chris L. Snyder; Lt. Col. Daniel H. Snyder (Leslie); brother, Marty Deloach (Diane); her aunt, Harriett Craven of Walterboro, SC; 5 grandchildren, Brandi Selling, Megan Payton, Noah Snyder, John Monroe, and Ryan Smith; great-grandson, Memphis Selling.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Springfield.
Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Remembrances may be given to First Baptist Church of Springfield, 1435 Hwy. 119 N., Springfield, GA 31329.
