Guyton – Linda Saxon Lowe, 77, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend departed her earthly home May 4, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family.  Born February 2, 1945 to the late Ben and Stella Saxon in Guyton, GA, she was a life long Effingham County resident, 1963 Effingham County High School graduate and retired from the Effingham County Board of Elections.

As a faithful member of Guyton United Methodist Church, Linda served on numerous committees and loved singing in the choir.  Her greatest accomplishments were being a child of God, loving her family and serving those in need.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by brother, Tony Saxon, Sr. and stepmother, Lavern Saxon.

She is survived by best friend and loving husband of 47 years, Edgar Lowe, Jr.; children, Andy Lowe and Marette Lowe; grandchildren, AJ (Bethany) Lowe, Zack (Melissa) Lowe, Scott and Aaron Kennedy; siblings, Ray Saxon (Joyce), Brenda Saxon (Bill), Richard Saxon (Patti) and Larry Saxon (Lisa); numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Per her wishes, Linda will be cremated and graveside services will be held 10 am Friday, May 6, 2022 in Marlow Cemetery with the Rev. Matt Waldron officiating.
