Rincon – Linda Sue Moody Middleton, 68, passed away August 16, 2023 at her residence after a long illness.

The Rincon native formerly worked at C & S, Nations Bank, and Bank of America in Rincon and was a homemaker.  She was very involved with the Effingham YMCA attending the active and ageless class.  She was a member of Springfield Oaks Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Mincey Moody; and father, Harry Moody.

Survivors include her husband, King Middleton; daughter, Greta Middleton Cribbs (Justin); granddaughters, Molly Cribbs and Mary Cribbs; cousin who was like a sister, Mary Graves Exley (Douglas); and her niece, Angie Middleton Overstreet.

Visitation will be 12 noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Springfield Oaks Church followed by funeral services at 1 p.m.

Interment will follow in Springfield Cemetery Annex.
