Linda Parrish Morris, 78, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was a vibrant soul who loved Elvis, Bluegrass, and country music. She had a passion for clogging and square dancing and often brought her family along for lessons. A devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan, she also enjoyed the thrill of NASCAR and racing. Her culinary favorites included sweet tea, fried food, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Some of her favorite times would be with her family, especially having cookouts or taking a road trip with her grandchild. She had a unique dislike for wearing shoes, and would often be barefoot. One of her largest accomplishments was being a cancer survivor. She dedicated 10 years as a volunteer EMS and firefighter in Meldrim. She was also a past member of Powers Baptist Church and Solid Rock Baptist Church.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Frank Bobby Morris, Sr.; partner of 25 years, Aaron Walker Sr.; parents, Luther and Bertha Parrish; brother, Luther "Bubba" Parrish; and her first born child, Baby Girl Morris.

Survivors include her sons, Bobby Morris (DeeDee), Doug Morris (Melissa), and Jimmy Morris (Toni); grandchildren, Scotty Morris (Ashlee), Katie Morris (Josh), Alexis Clifton (Josh), Logan Morris (Brooke), Abby Morris (Cody), Morgan Gallagher (Brandon), Matthew Morris, Robert Cochran, David Cochran and Amara Morris; and her great grandchildren, Leighton, Kayclee, Harper and Oliver.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm - 8:00pm on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Homes- West Chatham Chapel.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Homes- West Chatham Chapel with interment to follow in Powers Cemetery.
