Faulkville - Ms. Linda Kay Sheley Padgett passed away Monday, October 11 at St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital after a long illness. She was 70 years old.
Linda was preceded in death by both parents, L.H. Sheley, Sr. and Delma Weaver Sheley, as well as her two brothers, Hamilton Sheley, Jr. and Earl Sheley. She is survived by her brother, Larry Sheley, her daughter, Mary K. Castro, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Linda worked eighteen years at Southern Marine, and then sixteen years at CEMA. After retirement, she made her home in Effingham County. She was cremated, with no public service to be held. Friends and family will join in celebration of her life at a private reception on Saturday, October 16, 2010.
