Rincon – Linda Kaye Thornton Sweat, 68, passed away December 15, 2021 at her residence.

The Pierce County native retired from EMD Chemicals.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Dorothy Thornton; husband, Edward Randall Sweat, Sr.; son, Edward R. Sweat, Jr.; brother, Richard Thornton; sister, Annette Thornton; grandson, John Corbitt Swain.

Survivors include her children, Lisa Shurling (Durell), Diana Denise Pearce (Mike Sapp), and John Douglas Colquitt Sweat, Sr. (Tracy); brothers, Buddy Thornton (Sandra) and Charles Thornton (Wendy); 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, December 20, 2021 at the funeral home followed by a memorial service at 4:30 p.m. in the chapel.
