Mrs. Linda Elise Waller Cheek, 74, of Glenwood, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at her home.
Mrs. Cheek was born in Savannah to the late Ronald C. & Lillie Waller. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Roberts and Lorene Austin. She was of the Baptist faith and grew up attending the First Baptist Church of Bloomingdale where she was married. She was a beautician and had owned and operated her own beauty shop in Glenwood for a number of years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include her husband, Elzer Admiral Cheek; her children and their spouses, Ruskin Cheek (Sheila), Karen Cheek Hallas (Greg), and Stacey Cheek Arnold (Ron); grandchildren, Brooke Cheek, Colby Cheek, Sydney Hallas, and Kylie Hallas; great-grandchildren, Claire Cheek and Sadie Cheek; brothers, Ronald L. Waller and Roland E. Waller (Ann), and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be on Saturday, January 27th from 3 until 4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Bloomingdale located at 2 E. Moore Street with the funeral to follow at 4 p.m. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
