Garden City-Mr. L.L. "Happy" Edenfield, 89, died on Monday, March 3, 2008 at
Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Mr. Edenfield was born in Lyons, GA and had lived in Garden City for many years. He
was a member, Deacon and a member of the Choir of the Woodlawn Baptist Church. He
was a member of the Landrum Masonic Lodge # 48, a 32nd degree Mason and a member
of the Alee Shrine Temple. He retired from Southland Life Insurance Company and he
enjoyed making crafts and delivering them to the nursing homes in the area. Mr.
Edenfield was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise, and his second wife, Geneva as
well as a son-in-law, Donnie Phillips.
Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Sherry & Rex Duggar, Marlene
& Lewis Hill, Suzanne & Ralph Crawford and Patricia Phillips, all of Savannah; six
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Hyndel & Martha
Edenfield of Rincon.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 a.m. on Thursday at Woodlawn Baptist Church with burial to follow at
Bonaventure Cemetery.
