Obituary

Dr. Lloyd Carlton Wiley, 80, of Bloomingdale, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at his home.

He was born in Screven County to the late Lloyd & Elma Wiley.  He served his country in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy.  He received his Doctorate in Theology from Covington University of Theology.  He served as pastor at Ash Street Baptist Church in Bloomingdale for over 20 years.  He loved gospel singing and had sung in several gospel groups.  He was a loving husband, father and Poppy.

Survivors include his wife, Chris Wiley; two daughters, Pam Holliday (Ray) and Kellie Wiley (Shanna);  grandchildren, Lisa Foskey (Brian), Jeremy Holliday (Taylor), Joshua Lloyd Holliday, Nicklaus Carlton Wiley, Cayden Neal, Noni Harmon and Nathan Harmon; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Rachel & Wendell Hagan and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Farmdale Baptist Church in Screven County.
