Springfield – Logan Andrew Shelton, 17, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011.
Logan was a member of Springfield United Methodist Church and a student at Effingham County High School where he was a member of the F.F.A and played on the Effingham County Rebels Baseball Team. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Andrew L. Helmly, Leo W. Shelton, Sr., Doris K. Shelton, Ralph Williams, Lucille Monkus, Ted and Velma Butler.

Survivors include his parents, Mark and Debra Shelton; brothers, Dalton and Landon; grandparents, Billy and Andria Shelton, Melvin and Fay Williams; great-grandmother, Mary K. Helmly; aunt and uncles, Leighann and Jason Lovett, and Michael Williams; cousins, Casey, Addison, Payton, and Holden Lovett.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Springfield, 1435 Hwy. 119 N., Springfield, GA 31329.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Springfield. Pallbearers will be David Barras, Jr., Joseph Barras, Zach Helmly, Jesse Edwards, John Eddie Hodges, Cal Baker, Miles Exley, and Forrest Floyd. Honorary pallbearers will be E.C.H.S. 2010-2011 Baseball Team.
Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
Remembrances may be given to: Effingham County High and South Effingham High Baseball Teams, c/o Coach Brett Griffin, 1589 Hwy. 119 S., Springfield, GA 31329.
