Mrs. Lois Alberta "Berta" Riner, 91, of Guyton, GA, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, at Candler Hospital.

Berta was born on April 6, 1932, in Fitzgerald, GA, was raised in Savannah, GA and later moved to Effingham County.  She was preceded in death by her parents, George Walter Justice, Sr. & Sarah Calhoun (Callie) McDowell Justice; her husband, Amos Lee Riner, Jr., of 45 years; son, Amos Lee "Andy" Riner, III; siblings, Audrey Ann Justice Perry, George Walter "Walt" Justice, Jr., Earl Rudolf Justice, Barbra Sonja Justice and Dennis Lee Justice. She was a long time member of the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses West Chatham Campus and was a homemaker.  She was a pioneer for 10 years and she never met a stranger.  She was always ready to help others, both physically and spiritually, but most of all, she will be remembered for loving her family.

Survivors include her brother, Russell Sion Justice; children, Dennis Earl Riner (Elaine), Stephanie Rene Hemm (Randy), Sarah Regina Riner, Sybil Lavonne Riner, and William Merritt Riner; twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews as well as many friends.

The memorial service will be on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 3 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses – West Chatham Campus located at 6854 Hwy 17 SW, Bloomingdale, GA.  For those not able to attend the service they will be able to be viewed via zoom 5440940460, password 113819.
