Lois Boyles Hodges

Springfield – Lois Boyles Hodges, 102, passed away April 6, 2019 at her residence.

The Effingham County native was a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Graham Wesley Boyles and Lessie Boyles; husband, James Lester Hodges; son, Edward L. Hodges; and grandson, Randy Miller.

Survivors include her children, Jane H. Miller, James Robert Hodges, and Joyce H. Bowers (Carl); daughter-in-law, Betty Hodges;  half-sisters, Jewel Ingram and Dorothy Bazemore; 5 grandchildren, Pamela Ratliff, Terri Bowers, Heath Hodges, Toby Hodges, and Missy Corbitt; and a number of great and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. in the chapel.

Interment will follow in Turkey Branch United Methodist Church Cemetery.
