Savannah-Mrs. Lore Jarvis, 81, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Hospice
Savannah.
Mrs. Jarvis was born on September 17, 1927 in Frankfurt, Germany. She was an
employee of Books A Million where she handled German magazines and was a door
greeter. She met and married the late Milford Jarvis while he was stationed in Germany
during the war and they were married for 25 years. She was very proud to be a
naturalized American citizen.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Holly and David Jarrell of Meldrim,
daughter, Anna Hutchinson of Savannah ; grandchildren, Aaron and Heather Jarrell of
Meldrim, Amber and Travis Kilgore of Newington, Melanie Brabham, Ashley, Nicole
and Christopher Hutchinson, all of Savannah and three great-grandchildren. She will be
greatly missed by everyone. Mrs. Jarvis never met a stranger.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Graveside Funeral: 4 p.m. on Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim.
