Savannah-Ms. Loretta "Gale" Grooms, 56, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014.
Gale was born in San Diego, CA and was preceded in death by her father, Lowell Thomas Smith, Sr., and a brother, Lowell Thomas Smith, Jr. She was employed with Waffle House for 35 years.
Survivors include her children, Donald J. Reed, Angela D. Flewallen (Billy) and William Ervin Grooms; ten grandchildren; mother, Ginnie Shuman; siblings, Jennifer Richards, Susie Dowd, Cecil Smith and Jenky Smith; six nieces and one nephew.
The visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. on Tuesday in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Carl Richard officiating. Burial will follow at Bonaventure Cemetery.
