Lorraine (Dewey) Eachus

Lorraine Eachus was born January 25th, 1944 in Nashville, TN to Walter Russell Dewey and Consuelo Lucille (Calvert) Dewey-Buerkle-Risley. She passed away at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA on 9/24/26.

She was graduated from St. Patricks High School in Syracuse, NY, attended the College of St. Rose in Albany, NY and was graduated from Powelson Business Institute in Syracuse, NY. She was employed at General Electric’s E-Lab in Liverpool, NY and thereafter retired from McGraw-Hill Publishing in Hightstown, NJ as a Senior Programmer Analyst. An avid horse lover, she was past President of the NJ Half-Arabian Horse Assoc. and secretary; she also showed her horses in the eastern region of the US garnering Hi-Point, Region and National awards.

She was a parishiner of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Springfield, GA and became President of the Council of Catholic Women and thereafter President of the Savannah Diocese Deanery of the Council of Catholic Women.

Lorraine is survived by her husband of 60 years, Spencer Eachus of Springfield GA, all the remainder of NY - half sister, Karen Gugliotto (Carmen) of Central Square, also first cousins, Charlene Fogarty (Jerry) of Syracuse and Dorienne Martin (Ralph) of Baldwinsville.
