Springfield – Louis M. (Joe Louis) Edwards, 88, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 at his residence.
The Effingham County native retired from the Boilermaker's Local #26 after over 40 years. He was a longtime member and Deacon of Corinth Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Patricia; three sons, Kenny, Ricky (Alicia), and Ragan (Alicia); four grandchildren, Brandon, Brooks, Bayley, and Sydney; two sisters, Mary Ann Davis and Evelyn Sapp.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Corinth Baptist Church.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
