Louise H. Bath
Pooler - Louise H. Bath, 86, widow of John M. Bath, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at the Place in Pooler.
Born in Effingham County on February 28, 1929, she was the a daughter of the late Clayton and Edna Hurst. Mrs. Bath was a long time member of the New Providence Baptist Church in Guyton. She was a retired nurse, having worked for St. Josephs Hospital, a life insurance agent with Life and Casualty Insurance Company, and the owner of Rags N Riches. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Bath was preceded in death by her sister, Sybil Arnsdorff and her brother, Napolean Hurst.
Surviving are her sons, Eddie Fort and his wife, Robin of Whiteville, North Carolina, Jerry Fort and his wife, Penny of Pooler and Tommy Fort and his wife, Frankie of Pooler; their father, Leon E. Fort; her grandchildren, Jason Fort, Dustin Fort, Rachel Barnwell, and Clayton Fort; a great-granddaughter, Hali Fort; several nieces and nephews; and her two cats, Smookey and Shadow.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 until 8 o'clock at the funeral home.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 o'clock in the chapel of the funeral home.
Interment will be in Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
