Mrs. Louise Herndon Edenfield of Pembroke, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the age of 84.  Louise was born in Savannah on June 17, 1940, to John Herndon and Edna (Stokes) Herndon. She had lived in Pembroke with her loving husband Ed Rivers Edenfield for 25 years until his passing in 2023. Most recently, she resided in Pooler, Georgia, and was a member of Powers Baptist Church.  She and Ed were married for 57 years, and she is survived by her children, Talbert Edenfield (Roni) and Sally Edenfield Saunders (David), Grandchildren, Aaron Fowler (Vince), Amelia Senecal (Jordan), Jordan Casey (Zac), Regan Saunders, Great-Grandson Hudson Senecal, Brothers, David Herndon (Sharon) Tony Herndon, Joey Herndon (Renee) and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Louise was also preceded in death by her sister Ann Stille, (George A. Stille), her brother John Herndon (Pat Herndon) and her sister-in law, Judy Herndon.  Louise attended Savannah High School and graduated with her nursing degree from Armstrong State College. She worked as an LPN at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah for many years. During retirement, she and Ed loved nothing more than to take off in their RV to camp at the lake, take cross country trips, and attend Gospel music festivals. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served as Past Worthy Matron. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, cooking and canning vegetables from the garden. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
The visitation will be on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the funeral home.  The funeral to honor Louise's life will follow at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
