POOLER: Mrs. Louise Owen, 88, died Thursday, September 16, 2010 at her residence.
The Buffalo, NY native was a former high school librarian and English teacher in Ohio for more than thirty years. She served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Corporal.
She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Howard App of Pooler and Kathy and Ron O'Sako of Rincon; son, David Owen of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren, Jennifer Rabon, Derrek App, Tim O'Sako, Beth Lawver, Jared O'Sako, Carrie Austin, Brett Owen and Jeffrey Owen and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward and grandson Ryan App.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Bloomingdale Alliance Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Bloomingdale Alliance Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 336, Bloomingdale, GA 31302.
