Lourie Rahn Kessler

Port Wentworth- Lourie Rahn Kessler, 86, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Hospice Savannah.

The Charleston, SC native was retired from Chatham County Board of Education after 25 years of service. She was a member of Berea Southern Methodist Church, where she had served as church secretary and was the pianist for 50 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Erna K. Lindberg (Richard), Velma K. Hopper (W.H.), and Lynne Kessler Bethune; a son, John Franklin Kessler, Jr. (Lynn); 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 pm Thursday, February 13, 2014 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 3 pm Friday, February 14, 2014 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Springfield Cemetery
