Mr. Lucious E. "L.E. or Buck" Bradley
Bloomingdale-Mr. Lucious E. "L.E. or Buck" Bradley, 80, died on Friday, May 16, 2008
at his home with his family at his side.
Mr. Bradley was born in Liberty County, married and moved to Bloomingdale 54 years
ago. He was a member of the Ash Street Baptist Church and was loved by his
community. He served as a Merchant Marine for three years and began driving a truck
and continued until he was 73 years old. He lived with his son, Ricky until his death and
will be missed by all.
Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Helen & Phillip Winningham of Holly
Hill, SC, Linda & Dan Edwards of Roanoke, AL, Gloria & Wilbur Fowler of Pooler and
Judy & James Brown of Meldrim; son, Richard Lucious "Ricky" Bradley of
Bloomingdale; five granddaughters, Pam Conley, Sherry Davis, April Winningham,
Robin Smith and Candace Frost; four grandsons, Will Fowler, Jerry D. Parker, Michael
Brown and Chuck Thompson; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons
Funeral Home in Pooler.
Funeral: 2 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2008 at the Ash Street Baptist Church. Mr. Bradley
will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. at the Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West
Cemetery on Dean Forest Road.
