Obituary

Mr. Luis Alberto Vadi, 68, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at his home.

Luis was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and was preceded in death by his father, Jose' Ines Vadi Soto and his mother, Clarita Fantauzzi Gonzales.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathy M. Vadi, son, Jonathan Lee Vadi, and brother, Jose' Hiram Vadi.  Luis served his country in the United States Army.  He retired from Colonial Oil and later was employed with the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum.  He enjoyed playing golf and playing the bongos.  In Luis' younger days he and his brother were part of a Salsa band.

Survivors include his son, Alberto "Ajay" J. Vadi; grandchildren, Alexis Lee Vadi, Kinley Veal, Brandon Parrin, and Jordan Howard; sister: Luz Iraida Vadi Fantauzzi; brother, Juan Carlos Vadi Fantauzzi; brothers-in-law, David Lyon and Steve Lyon, a number of nieces and nephews, including niece and caregiver, Maggie Lawton; friend and caregiver, Ann Bird, and a friend who was like a son, Lucas Watson.

The memorial service to celebrate Luis' life will be at 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum Chapel located at 175 Bourne Avenue in Pooler, Georgia .
