Mrs. Lynda Joanne Dudley, 79, of Guyton, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at the Effingham Extended Care Facility.

She was born in Greenville, SC and spent most of her life in Savannah.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester W. & Ozella D. Lorrey, her husband, Richard Dudley, a brother, Johnny Lorrey, a sister-in-law, Evelyn Broussard, and a brother-in-law, Morris Broussard.  She was a member of the Silk Hope Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.  She retired after 28 years from the Chatham County Board of Education.  She had a love of teaching children, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Thomas Richard Dudley, III (Diane), Keith Dudley (Evetta), Scott Dudley (Rachael), Jason Dudley (Tinker), and Stephanie Brothers (Andy); 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Mallard (Robert); several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Barbara Shuman (Michael) and Tricia Stafford (Elton).

The visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 22 ^nd at the funeral home.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 23 ^rd in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
